Yesterday, my family and I took a walk out on Hamlin Lake. The quiet sense of the snow and the ice was pretty amazing. I am humbled by the love of my family, by the constant support in so many ways. We love to have deep conversation, and share in all aspects of living. I am thankful.
I feel blessed in the midst of all the emotional events in our lives right now to have the ability to find solitude in nature and support and solidarity.
Many things are happening at once my daughter Lillie is finishing her MSW at the University of Michigan part of her work is providing support in baldwin for families and individuals in the detention center. Spring is around the corner just a little walk around my yard shows me that we are headed towards the melt. I know it’s Michigan and the chances of more coming. I know I know I know. But today it is sunny and I’m able to get some of the ice off of our sidewalk so that’s a plus.
There are a lot of really neat things coming up in our lives and that I’m gonna be able to share soon. Writing and creating has taken a place and I’m getting ready to share some of that.
