Happy New Year!

2025: Family, friends, nature and healing.

May 1st I was diagnosed with breast cancer which sent me down the path of summer appointments and quiet times in nature. Lillie moved in as an additional caregiver and a host of friends supported me. I am very fortunate.Larry Gephart waa a constant beacon of support along with many friends,

It is a personal journey having cancer, one that differs with each diagnosis and person. I kept it quiet, as I really wanted to keep my energy for healing and navigating treatment. I did have some side effects that landed me in the hospital for a few days. All of which set me back in healing and gaining energy back. That was in September.

There are many parallels with this journey and grief. The many people who did show up to cheer me on and send encouragement in cards, texts, and gifts will forever be in my heart. There is the peraonal silence you keep as you process your treatment and recovery. I have learned so much and confronted many of my personal demons. I had a lot of time to reflect.

Being public with a diagnosis is at times hard because until you have had this journey, it is hard to understand the personal impact.

I have spent a great deal of time in nature and in reflection. I am writing, but not yet ready to put it all together. I draw and doodle often while relaxing.

So 2025 has been life changing and overall in a good way. I feel stronger but have a little more to gain. I am beginning to dance again. Music is still my joy and fills my heart. Relationships have mattered.

I am thankful to family, friends, and the practitioners who have supported my healing.

Enjoy your new year’s celebration. Remember to love on everyone and enjoy each living memory. I am ready for 2026.

Sending love, big love to everyone with a bear hug too!
