I realized that I have grown up and in adulthood found myself at the lake. Water, sunsets and the quiet.

It is clear to me that the water soothes me. The wave sounds, the air, the joy of open waters.

As a child we would see the freighters and run to the pier to welcome them in. Waving and jumping around with joy.

Our childhood memories sneak into our lives so often but recently I realize so many of them are from vacations. Please take a vacation for your own good and to create the lasting memories for your children. Let them hold the joy of burying themselves in the sand, climb and run down the dune. There are trails, free beaches. Make a vacation day with picnic lunches and sunscreen. Make memories today!

I am thankful for the gift of being together and sharing my toes in the sand.
